Jālgaon, formerly known as Dzhalgaone, is a city in the north-central part of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated at 21.0486100 latitude and 76.5344400 longitude, in the Khandesh region of the state. The city has a tropical wet and dry climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Jālgaon has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the 12th century when it was ruled by the Yadava dynasty. It was later ruled by the Mughals, the Marathas, and the British. The city is home to several historical monuments, including the Ajanta Caves, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
