Jolārpettai, also known as Jalarpet or Jolarpettai, is a town located in the Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, India. It lies at the intersection of the Chennai-Bangalore National Highway and the Vellore-Krishnagiri State Highway, approximately 220 kilometers southwest of Chennai. The town experiences a tropical savanna climate with hot summers and mild winters. Historically, Jolārpettai was part of the Pallava kingdom and later the Vijayanagara Empire. It is home to several temples, including the ancient Sivanandeshwara Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
