Junction City is a city in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is located at the confluence of the Middle Fork Willamette River and the Coast Fork Willamette River, approximately 12 miles north of Eugene. The city has a population of approximately 5,500 people and is known for its historic downtown area and its proximity to the Willamette Valley wine country. The climate in Junction City is mild, with average temperatures ranging from 40 degrees Fahrenheit in January to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in July. The city's history dates back to the mid-1800s, when it was founded as a stagecoach stop on the Oregon Trail. Junction City is home to a number of historic buildings, including the Old City Hall, which was built in 1892 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
