Maletto, also known as Malettu, is a town located in the province of Catania, Sicily, Italy. It is situated at an elevation of 925 meters above sea level, on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. The town has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Maletto has a rich history, dating back to the 11th century. It was once a fiefdom of the Ventimiglia family, and later became part of the Kingdom of Sicily. The town's heritage is reflected in its architecture, which includes a number of churches and palaces.
