Pamukova, also known as Akhisar, is a town in Sakarya Province, Turkey, located at 40.5081°N 30.1673°E in the Marmara Region. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cool, wet winters. Pamukova has a rich history, having been founded in the 13th century by the Seljuk Turks. It was later ruled by the Ottomans and became part of the Republic of Turkey in 1923. The town is home to several historical sites, including the Akhisar Castle and the Ulu Cami (Great Mosque).
