Pittsburg, Texas, is a small city located in northeast Texas, approximately 120 miles east of Dallas. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The city was founded in 1846 by settlers from Kentucky and Tennessee and was named after Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburg has a rich heritage and is home to several historical sites, including the Camp County Courthouse and the Pittsburg Opera House.
