Pizzoni is a town in the province of Vibo Valentia in the Calabria region of southern Italy. It is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea coast, about 30 km southwest of Vibo Valentia. The town has a population of about 1,500 people. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Pizzoni was founded in the 10th century by the Byzantines. It was later ruled by the Normans, the Angevins, and the Aragonese. In the 16th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Naples. Pizzoni is home to a number of historical sites, including the Chiesa di San Nicola, the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Neve, and the Castello di Pizzoni.
