Pochayiv is a town in the Ternopil Oblast (province) of western Ukraine, located in the historical region of Galicia. The town is situated on the Ikva River, a tributary of the Dniester River, and is known for its large and beautiful Orthodox monastery, the Pochayiv Lavra, which is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Ukraine.
