Rubizhne, also known as Rubizhne, is a city located in the Luhansk Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine, situated on the banks of the Siverskyi Donets River. The city has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Rubizhne's history dates back to the 18th century when it was founded as a settlement for workers in the local chemical industry. The city played a significant role in the development of the chemical industry in Ukraine and was once home to one of the largest chemical plants in the country. Rubizhne has a rich heritage, with many historical and cultural landmarks, including the Rubizhne Historical Museum and the Rubizhne Art Gallery.
