Ship Bottom is a borough in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States, located on Long Beach Island. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, wet winters. The borough was incorporated in 1925 and is named after the shipwrecks that were common in the area in the 18th and 19th centuries.
