Willimantic, Connecticut, is a city in Windham County, located in eastern Connecticut at the confluence of the Willimantic and Natchaug Rivers. The city has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Willimantic was founded in 1822 as a textile manufacturing center and played a significant role in the American Industrial Revolution.
