Yetkul', a town in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, is situated at the southern end of the Ural Mountains, near the border with Kazakhstan. With a population of around 12,000, the town experiences a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Its history dates back to the 18th century, when it was founded as a Cossack outpost. Yetkul' has a rich cultural heritage, including the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, built in the 19th century.
