Srīsailam is a town located in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India, at the confluence of the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. It is known for its ancient Shiva temple, the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swami Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The town has a tropical savanna climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Srīsailam has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the 2nd century BCE, when it was ruled by the Satavahana dynasty.
