He was a founding member of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Damascus and contributed to the curriculum of electronic engineering. As a member of the Arabic Language Academy in Damascus, he played a significant role in developing Arabic terminology across various committees, including those for electrical, electronic, and communications engineering. He was fluent in several languages and translated works into Arabic, creating a multilingual electronic dictionary.
