Allen Edison Stairs (1924-2010) was a Canadian businessman and politician known for his role as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party in New Brunswick. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, he established an insurance business in Woodstock. Elected to the Legislative Assembly for Carleton, he served multiple terms and held various cabinet positions, including Minister of Finance. Stairs left politics in 1978 to care for his terminally ill wife, marking the end of a notable public service career.
