A. J. Guyton is a former American basketball player and current coach, born on February 12, 1978, in Peoria. He began his professional career in 2000 after being selected by the Chicago Bulls in the NBA draft. As a player, he stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.9 m) tall and achieved recognition by winning the gold medal at the 1998 Goodwill Games. Guyton retired from playing in 2010 and is currently coaching in the NBA Development League.
