A. P. B. Sinha, also known as Akhoury Purnendu Bhusan Sinha, was an Indian solid-state chemist renowned for his studies on semiconductor theory and the synthesis of manganites. He served as the head of the Physical Chemistry Department at the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. Sinha was a fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences. He was awarded the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in Chemical Sciences by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in 1972 for his significant contributions to scientific research.
