Aruma Upasakage Romanis, born on April 27, 1908, was a Ceylonese politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Dodangaslanda from 1960 to 1965. His political career commenced with the backing of Sir John Lionel Kotelawala, who endorsed him as a candidate for the Dodangaslanda Electorate. Romanis participated in both the March and July 1960 general elections, successfully defeating R. R. W. Rajapakse, the candidate from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, to secure his parliamentary seat.
