Aarne Ketonen (1916-2008) was a Finnish pole vaulter and pesäpallo player. He represented Mäntän Urheilijoita and won the Finnish championship in pole vaulting at the 1944 Kalevan Games. Earlier, he had secured a junior gold medal ten years prior. He achieved a personal best of 386 cm just before World War II. Additionally, he played for Seinäjoen Maila-Jussit in the 1930s, enjoying success at both the national and veteran levels. In 1992, he set a European record for the M75 category with a jump of 262 cm.
