Aaro Kullervo Kiviperä was a Finnish modern pentathlete and basketball official, born on February 6, 1912, in Seinäjoki. He represented Finland at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, finishing in 20th place. Kiviperä became the chairman of the national basketball association, Suomen Koripalloliitto, in 1944. He served as a major during World War II and tragically lost his life in the Battle of Vuosalmi on July 11, 1944.
