Aaron Shikler (born March 18, 1922, in New York) is an American painter known for his portraits of notable personalities and statesmen. Among his most recognized works is the posthumous portrait of John F. Kennedy, which became the official portrait of Kennedy at the White House after being commissioned by Jacqueline Kennedy in 1970. He has also painted the official portraits of First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy and Nancy Reagan, along with portraits of the Kennedy children. His works are held in many public collections, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
