Aashish Khan Debsharma, born on December 5, 1939, is an Indian classical musician and a sarod player. He was nominated for the Grammy Award in 2006 for his album 'Golden Strings of the Sarod' in the Best World Music category. Besides being an artist, composer, and director, he serves as an associate professor of Indian classical music at the California Institute of Arts and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is the grandson of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and has collaborated with musicians like Ravi Shankar and The Beatles.
