Abdal Al Al Hamamsi was an Egyptian writer, novelist, and storyteller born in Akhmim, Sohag Governorate on June 1, 1932. He was one of the founders of the Egyptian Writers Union. His literary contributions significantly impacted Egyptian literature. He passed away on August 7, 2009, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 77.
