H. Abdul Aziz Angkat (January 10, 1958 – February 3, 2009) was the Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of North Sumatra from 2008 to 2009. He was elected on November 13, 2008, filling a vacancy after the previous chairman, H. Abdul Wahab Dalimunthe, resigned to run for the Indonesian Parliament. Aziz Angkat died on February 3, 2009, after being assaulted by a crowd of demonstrators who were dissatisfied with the council's decision regarding the establishment of the Tapanuli Province.
