Abdul Aziz Bin Khalid Al-Ghanim (1903 - 1998) was the first President of the Consultative Council of Qatar after independence. Born in Doha, he gained early work experience, leading to his appointment by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. He played a significant role in modernizing Qatar's infrastructure, updating legislation to fit the evolving societal context. Known for his wise leadership, he also dealt with arbitration and community disputes.
