Abdul Ghafar bin Atan was a Malaysian politician born on July 13, 1956, who served in various capacities in the Melaka State Government. He was a member of the Melaka State Executive Council from March 2008 to May 2018 and from March 2020 until his death in November 2021. Additionally, he was a member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly representing Asahan from May 2013 and Gadek from March 2004 to May 2013. He was affiliated with the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and held the position of Alor Gajah UMNO chief.
