Abdul-Majid Bhurgri, born on February 8, 1948, is the founder of computing in the Sindhi language. Hailing from Larkana, Pakistan, he now resides in Seattle. Between 1987 and 1988, he revolutionized the printing and publishing industry for the Sindhi language on personal computers. From 2000 to 2011, he developed the first Sindhi Unicode font and secured support for the Sindhi language on Microsoft Windows, providing resources to standardize its use on Windows. In 2002, he wrote a research paper for Microsoft titled 'Empowering Pakistani Languages through Unicode.'
