Abdul Rahman al-Omari is a former Saudi Arabian airline pilot, born on December 24, 1972. He was mistakenly identified by the FBI as the pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 involved in the September 11 attacks. Prior to this incident, he had previously worked at John F. Kennedy International Airport. On September 3, 2001, he moved with his wife and four children from his residence in Vero Beach, Florida, only to later prove he was alive, leading to an FBI apology. The actual hijacker was Mohammed Atta, while Abdulaziz al-Omari was suspected of using al-Omari's alias.
