Abdul Rahman Infant, born on June 23, 1952, is a retired Indian police officer who served as the director general and inspector general of police (DGP & IG) in Karnataka. His appointment was made by Home Minister R. Ashoka on March 31, 2012, following a high court order. He succeeded Shankar Bidari, who was later exonerated by the Supreme Court. A native of Kerala, Infant was born in Paravoor, Kollam district.
