Abdullahi Shelleng, born on January 20, 1942, was the first Military Governor of Benue State in Nigeria. He held office from February 3, 1976, until July 1978 during the military government of General Olusegun Obasanjo. His governance came about after the separation of Benue State from the former Benue-Plateau State.
