Dr. Achyuta Samanta, born on January 20, 1965, is an Indian educator. In 1992, he founded the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) with 12 students, which has since grown into a world-class university. He established the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in 1993. Notably, KIIT holds a record in the Limca Book for becoming a full-fledged university in the shortest time. He is recognized as the youngest Acharya in India and has received an honorary D.Litt degree from Daffodil International University in Bangladesh.
