Mohamed Diab Al-Attar, known as Ad-Diba, was an Egyptian football player and international referee born on November 17, 1927, and passed away on December 30, 2016. He was instrumental in leading the Egyptian national team to victory in the inaugural Africa Cup of Nations in 1957. His contributions to the sport were recognized when, in 2007, he was named one of the greatest 200 players in the history of the African continent.
