Adriaan Pieter (Ad) ten Bosch is a Dutch publisher, bookseller, and writer, born on March 5, 1951, in Zutphen. He owned the publishing house Athenaeum - Polak & Van Gennep and the bookstore Van Someren & Ten Bosch, which he inherited from his father. After a period in Vancouver, where he worked as an administrator at a publishing company and later as a truck driver, he returned to his father's bookstore. He became friends with poet Ida Gerhardt and managed her estate. He has published novels and a book about his friendship with Gerhardt.
