Adam Osborne was an American engineer, computer scientist, and entrepreneur, born on March 6, 1939, in Bangkok, Thailand. He spent much of his childhood in India and graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1961. He earned a doctorate from the University of Delaware. Osborne initially worked as a chemical engineer at Shell Oil before shifting his focus to computers and technical writing in the early 1970s. He contributed significantly to the fields of computing and entrepreneurship until his passing on March 18, 2003, in Kodaikanal, India.
