He spent 18 years imprisoned as a political prisoner due to his religious activities. Bidash played a crucial role in the Pentecostal movement in Ukraine, leading unauthorized worship and establishing churches despite persecution. He was rehabilitated posthumously in 1988, recognized as a victim of political repression.
