Afroz Ahmad is an Indian environmental scientist and former civil servant with expertise in environmental management and protection within the United Nations. He has played a significant role in integrating environmental concerns with development, promoting sustainable development in India. Before his Indian service, he worked at the United Nations Environment Programme in Germany. Currently, he is a member of the National Green Tribunal and has served as an advisor to the Government of Maharashtra on environmental and rehabilitation affairs. Ahmad also is involved in various high-level national and international committees.
