Agey Markevich was a Soviet footballer and bandy player, as well as a football coach. Born on December 12, 1924, in Krasnoyarsk, he was a sports master in bandy and a veteran athlete in the RSFSR. He achieved championships in football and bandy, including the 1948 championship for the Tractor Sports Society. Markevich participated in the Great Patriotic War and was decorated with the Medal for Combat Services. He coached the Krasnoyarsk team Lokomotiv/Rassvet/Avtomobilist during the 1950s to 1970s, reaching the quarterfinals of the USSR Cup in 1958.
