Aghvan Grigoryan is a retired Armenian weightlifter born on February 11, 1969. He made his mark at the 1996 Summer Olympics, where he competed in the men’s 99 kg division and served as Armenia's flag bearer, marking a historic moment as the first Olympian to carry Armenia’s flag at the Summer Olympics. After retiring from competitive weightlifting, he transitioned to coaching and now works for the Australian Weightlifting Federation, coaching at Phoenix club in Victoria, Australia.
