Ágnes Geréb, born on December 20, 1952, in Szeged, Hungary, is a Hungarian psychologist, gynecologist, and midwife. She is the founder of the first two Hungarian birth centers and an advocate for the right to natural childbirth. Due to her assistance with home births, she faced expulsion from the Hungarian Obstetric and Gynecological Society and was banned from practicing by the Hungarian Medical Chamber's Ethical Committee. She was arrested on October 5, 2010, following an incident involving an unexpected home birth, leading to serious legal repercussions.
