Josep Alsina i Casas, known as Fray Agustí de Montclar, was a Capuchin preacher and poet born in Montclar d'Urgell on December 8, 1907. He is venerated as a beatified figure by the Catholic Church. His life and work were cut short when he was killed in Barcelona on August 12, 1936, during a tumultuous period of religious persecution. Despite his brief life, he is remembered for his contributions to religious literature and his commitment to his faith.
