He completed his Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine at King Faisal University in 1982, followed by a Master's in Immunology from Cornell University in 1986, and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Birmingham in 1994. He is a professor in the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology at King Faisal University and serves as Chairman of the Saudi Veterinary Association. He has authored several works and writes for various Saudi and Arab publications.
