He became renowned for his storytelling, particularly in the 1980s when Sundanese tales were popularized through radio broadcasts. Starting as a self-taught storyteller, he contributed significantly to the preservation of Sundanese folklore. Ahmad Sutisna received recognition for his work, being awarded a lifetime achievement award by the West Java Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in 2015. He passed away on December 28, 2013, at the age of 63.
