He serves as the rector of Odlar Yurdu University and has been a deputy in the National Assembly of Azerbaijan for two terms: III (2005-2010) and IV (2010-2015). A Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, and a professor, he has been honored with the 'Shohrat' Order. He is a member of the American Mathematical Society and the New York Academy of Sciences, and has received a gold medal from the French Economic Aid Association for advancements in educational technologies.
