Ahmed Abu Ismail was an Egyptian economist and former Minister of Finance, born on March 13, 1915, and passed away on May 20, 2013. He earned a Ph.D. in transport economics from the University of Manchester in 1938. He served as a professor at the University of London until 1948, after which he returned to Egypt, becoming a professor at the College of Commerce and later a dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science. In 1968, he founded the College of Commerce at Kuwait University and held various roles, including Minister of Finance in 1976.
