Ahmed Rushdi Mahmoud Eid (October 29, 1924 - July 4, 2013) was an Egyptian politician, serving as the Minister of Interior from 1984 to 1986. Known as the 'Conqueror of Drugs,' he earned respect from all segments of society for his successful anti-drug campaigns. His resignation in 1986 after the Central Security events marked a significant loss for the principles he upheld. Rushdi was also elected to the People's Assembly representing his birthplace, Berkat Al Sab'a. He played a crucial role in discovering Rafiq El Hagan for intelligence operations during the 1980s.
