Ahmet Ayık (born March 31, 1938, in Sivas, Turkey) is a renowned Turkish wrestler known for his achievements in freestyle wrestling. He is an Olympic champion and one of Turkey's most successful athletes in this sport. With a remarkable career, Ayık won medals at both the Olympics and World Championships, and he was a consistent competitor, clinching multiple titles from 1961 to 1970. After retiring in 1970, he contributed to the wrestling community as a leader in the Turkey Wrestling Federation and was eventually elected president of FILA in 2012. He is married and has three children.
