Ahmet Çelik is a Turkish-Dutch public administration scholar born on March 17, 1956, in Giresun. He studied public administration at the University of Twente and has worked at Bilkent University in Ankara since 1979, becoming a full professor in 1985. Çelik has published extensively and supervised many doctoral candidates. He received the Spinoza Prize in 1999 and joined the College for Urban Innovation at the Nicis Institute in 2008. Additionally, he has served as an advisor to various prestigious organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission.
