Ahmet Günbaş was a Turkish journalist and writer, born in Izmir. He completed his primary and secondary education there and graduated from the School of Journalism. His first writings appeared in the literary and art section of Demokrat İzmir newspaper. In 1976, he co-founded the literary magazine Dönemeç with others and served as the responsible director. He wrote poetry, criticism, and reviews, and in recent years focused on book promotion articles. He is also one of the founders of Agora magazine.
