Ahmet İhsan Kalkavan was a Turkish politician born on June 10, 1953, in Samsun. He graduated from the Department of Geological Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University. Kalkavan was involved in various roles, including working in phosphate mining, serving on the board of the Handball Federation, and as a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly representing Samsun in its 24th term. He was also the father of football referee Mete Kalkavan. Ahmet İhsan Kalkavan passed away on July 23, 2017, in Samsun at the age of 64.
