Ahti Kalervo Vielma is a Finnish politician and author born on April 8, 1941, in Kittilä. He served as a member of the Finnish Parliament representing the National Coalition Party from 2003 to 2007. After losing his parliamentary seat in the 2007 elections, he resigned from the party in March 2010. Vielma holds a degree as a Master of Science in Engineering, graduating in 1967. His professional career includes roles as Technical Director of Jämsä and Deputy Mayor of Jyväskylä. He has also published poetry and novels.
